Job
Summary: Enter accurate new patient admission information into computer system.
Key
Responsibilities:
Enter new patient admission information into computer system in a timely and accurate fashion.
Review face sheets for completeness at time of admit
Enter all patient demographics received at time of admit/re-admit
Enter complete billing information received at time of admit/re-admit including but not limited to insurance, Medicare Part B, Medicaid and Medicaid pending
Manage re-admission data
Work electronic patient demographic information received through alternate programming daily
Work unknown payer reports if applicable
Assist with identification of non-compliant facilities
Maintain productivity and accuracy goals
Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary by location.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous data entry or billing experience
Experience in pharmacy procedures and terminology
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and prioritization skills
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
