Senior Data Center Engineer

Operations and Engineering:
o Responsible for health, availability, inventory, and capacity of all data centers.
o Co-manage remote hands data center personnel.
o Implementation and decommission of IT equipment within company and vendor owned locations.
Governing operations and engineering of vendor owned data centers, working with server, network, and design teams.
o On call rotation for responding to data center related incidents involving power, cooling, and related data center infrastructure.
o Responsible for vendor maintenance schedule of IT facilities infrastructure including UPS, Generator, Fire Suppression, and Cooling.
Strategy & Planning:
o Design and development of internal data center infrastructure equipment and systems and/or redesign of existing systems as needed to fulfill the needs of IT.
o Helps define vision or road map of data center infrastructure to support IT initiatives working with leadership and engineering teams.
o Ensures that all changes potentially impacting infrastructure are thoroughly planned, tested, and documented prior to implementation.
o Assist leadership to benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for improvement and growth of the data center infrastructure.
o Ensure that any new data center infrastructure integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
o Review and analyze existing infrastructure effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these infrastructures.
o Leverage industry publications and knowledge bases to provide thought leadership and best practices.
Leadership:
o Cultivate, disseminate, and enforce functional policies, procedures, and quality assurance best practices.
o Lead and facilitate effective technical related communication with the team and senior leadership and with other relevant groups to produce data center designs and necessary modifications.
o Ensure project goals are met within scheduling and budgeting parameters.
o Work collaboratively with technical leaders and management to drive change.
Be an ambassador of the organization.
o Present the project status and direction at key meetings with business partners, leadership, and within organization.
o Prepares system documentation and operational guides and project plans.
Job Required Education/Experience Education/Requirements:
o MIS related degree preferred Minimum Experience Level:
o Data Center Operations and infrastructure, including facilities working knowledge of supporting tools o 5-8 years of similar work experience.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
