Summary:
The Swim Programming Coordinator will develop, plan, organize and direct scheduled swim lesson programming for In-Shape Health Club.
This role will monitor the quality and effectiveness of these programs on a regular basis ensuring the programs are meeting the standards set forth, are profitable, and managed to budget.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Maintain the standards set for swim programming and hold swim instructors accountable for those standardsResponsible for retention of swim lesson participants through listening to our members needs and presenting ideas and solutions based on their member feedbackPlan, schedule, and execute all scheduled swim lessons, and backfill when needed as an instructorCreate and maintain relationships with current and future swim program participantsMaintain swim program equipment and report issues with equipment to club leadershipResponsible for administrative support for swim lesson programmingAct as the In-Shape local community liaisonDistribute, collect, and tabulate end of session surveysReview Daily KPIs and identifies trends to find opportunities to improveWork within established budgets and identifies areas for improved efficiencies.
Decrease unnecessary and controllable expensesParticipate in maintaining a safe, clean, well-run clubCultivate effective working relationships with internal and external partnersAssist with ensuring policies and regulations comply with OSHA regulationsLead and model In-Shape behaviors with their club core values - Deliver, Impact, and InspireRevised 06.
2023RequirementsREQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS - HERE'S WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
High School Diploma or GEDLifeguard CertificationCPR, BLS/AED, First aid certificationsKnowledge, experience, and understanding of swimming and swim lesson programmingPrior experience in supervising or leading swim lesson programmingStrong planning and organizational skillsHigh regard and propensity for safetyMust be Trustline registered; In-Shape will facilitate this certification upon acceptance of offer of employmentIN-SHAPE TEAM PERKS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk and stand up to 8 hours/day and/or sitting for extended period of time.
Employees may be exposed to cleaning chemicals or airborne particles and will be required to wear designated PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as directed.
Employees are occasionally required to use hands and fingers for handle or feel; occasional reach, push and pulling with arms and hands; occasional climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and occasional reach and twist, including side-to-side movements.
The employee may be required to occasionally lift, carry or move up to 25 pounds and may seldom be required to lift, carry or move 26-50 pounds.
During the COVID-19 pandemic:
All In-Shape Team Members working in the clubs may be asked to assist with greeting members to perform temperature checks and health screens, ensure members practice physical distancing and monitor cleaning of equipment after each use.
Detailed instructions will be provided at time of hire.
In-Shape Team Members will be required to comply with company policies regarding the use of PPE (personal protective equipment), by following instructions and outlined safety guidelines, to protect our team and club members.
Club Safety training and equipment will be provided.
Team Members are to report to management, or designated team member, any safety risks or potential risks identified in the work environment.
