We are seeking a motivated and forward-thinking Director of Regulatory Affairs to be based at our Corporate Headquarters in Lodi, California, near Sacramento.

$150,000-$200,000, depending on level of education, work experience and skills.

The Director of Regulatory Affairs is responsible for managing all aspects of environmental, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
This role is highly hands-on and requires a proactive approach in managing areas such as Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), sustainability, emissions, and climate risk reporting.
Regular on-site presence at our various facilities is essential for ensuring direct coordination and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
This position involves close collaboration with departments such as finance, field and manufacturing operations, sales, and more.
The ideal candidate should have a robust understanding of these regulatory landscapes and have experience managing compliance programs within a complex organizational structure.
Primary job duties:
Lead the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive compliance programs.
Stay abreast of changing regulations and ensure timely compliance with all applicable local, state (i.
e.
, California and Oregon), and federal laws and standards.
Engage in regular travel to our facilities to ensure direct compliance oversight and effective implementation of sustainability and regulatory programs.
Conduct regular on-site audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including HR and operations management, to ensure compliance integration throughout the organization.
Organize the collection, analysis, and reporting of compliance data.
Serve as the main contact for regulatory agencies and external stakeholders.
Develop and implement innovative policies and programs focused on advancing sustainability.
Coordinate and prepare responses to requests for information from regulatory authorities.
Develop and deliver environmental, sustainability, and other compliance training programs for employees.
Determine need, (re)apply for, and obtain permits as required for operations.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of compliance programs.
Stay informed and share industry best practices and trends in regulatory compliance.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, sustainability, or related field.
Ten years of regulatory compliance experience, preferably in agriculture or food manufacturing; or Master's degree with a minimum of 7 years of regulatory experience.
Strong understanding of environmental, EPR, sustainability, emissions, and climate risk reporting standards and regulations.
Well versed with California-specific permitting rules and regulations.
Proven ability to manage and implement comprehensive compliance programs.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office apps and relevant compliance software.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
