As a key member of the construction team, the Pump & Electrical Technician will be involved in underground installation, pump and electrical construction, and filter construction, Laurel is looking for a strong Pump & Electrical Technician with a proven track record of comprehensive knowledge of pump and electrical equipment.
This role will report to the Manager of Pump and Electrical This person will be passionate about understanding our customer's needs and creating solutions that maximize our performance at Laurel.
The Pump and Electrical Service Tech is expected to be a team player that lives Laurel's cultural values, sets an example for others, and constantly enhances the culture.
They should also have strong communication skills to inspire others in their role as a team builder and peer.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Pump & Electrical Service Call Work Assess & diagnose service work Manage required computer (NetSuite) data entry Prompt and professional customer communication Provide complete scope for proposed repairs to be quoted by internal teams including design and estimating Photo document work site and all work performed Pump & Filter Station Start-ups Perform Pump & Filter Station start-ups and adjustments of system hardware Verify all equipment performs to design specifications Coordinate all manufacturer / warranty registrations Perform appropriate customer training Communicate necessary instructions to appropriate departments any necessary corrections Pump Department Support Work with Pump Department Teams as directed by Pump Operations Leader to assist in Pump, electrical & filter installation Service Department Housekeeping, Personal Organization & Safety Maintain vehicle cleanliness, tools, inventory & supplies daily to be fully prepared at all time Always maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all applicable safety regulations Participate in all required technical and safety trainings WHAT YOU WILL NEED Proven ability to work in team environment inside and outside of department Proven ability to set build trust throughout the organization and with customers High energy, hungry to win, approachable, analytical Willingness to travel (20-40% depending on location) Basic Microsoft Suite, Computer and ERP systems Exceptional problem-solving skills Pump, Electrical & Filter troubleshooting, and repair experience Experienced with crane & equipment required for pumps & electrical work Ability to professionally communicate with customers Ability to effectively communicate with service team & management Detail oriented & capable of understanding project details Dependable and Ability to work independently Clean CA driver's license Phone skills & appropriate manufacture/tech software proficiency Familiar with Irrigation / pump relationships Quick Apply.
